'Weekend Watch': Wild Winter: Horns and Fur to teach kids about animal survival skills
Humans aren’t the only ones who have to adapt to the winter weather. Animals all have different ways to combat the cold. Kids ages K-6 can learn more about animal survival skills during Wild Winter: Horns and Furs at Red River Zoo, 4255 23rd Ave. S., Fargo, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event will focus on residents like the Sichuan takin, a native of a mountainous Chinese province, the white-faced saki monkey from South America and goats. Registration is $15 for members, $20 for non-members. (701) 277-9240.
