Cold shuts down sledding hills, rinksFARGO – The extreme cold weather Monday shut down the fun for area kids with sleds and skates.
Fargo’s Park District officials announced the outdoor skating rinks, warming houses and the sledding hills at Dike West and Edgewood were closed Monday. They cited cold temperatures and wind chills as the cause.
Park district policy says their outdoor facilities will be closed in temperatures that hit 10 below or colder, or if wind chills reach 30 below or colder.
