Search is on for Fargo 27-year-old missing for two weeks
Colter Dallman was reported missing to Fargo police by his mother, Carolyn Woodruff, 58, of Beulah.
Woodruff filed the missing person report after she tried to call Dallman multiple times last weekend to see how he was faring with the storm, and all the calls went straight to voice mail.
She checked his phone use on their family plan and saw his last phone call was on Jan. 3. She called his friends in Fargo, who hadn’t heard from him since around Jan. 4.
From the looks of Dallman’s Fargo residence, “It’s very evident he was not traveling,” his mother said. Dallman didn’t take any suitcases or his medication, she said, and left some credit cards and money on his dresser.
“It looks like he just went out to do something or get a bite to eat and never came back,” she said.
Dallman has a history of depression and had times in the past where he fought suicidal thoughts, she said.
“It’s a possibility,” she said, “but there was no suicide note or anything to make that the only possibility.”
Woodruff said police told her Dallman’s cellphone was last used Jan. 9 near Horace, she said.
Woodruff said she feels “helpless and emotionally exhausted.”
Dallman is about 5 foot, 10 inches and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His car, which is also missing, is an olive green Infiniti G20 with a spoiler and sunroof, North Dakota license plate HAX410, Woodruff said.
Lt. Joel Vettel said police are investigating, and Dallman’s description has been put into the National Crime Information Center’s system for missing persons.
Vettel said police don’t have any further leads outside of the information they were initially given, but there is no clear indication of foul play.
