John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo, has hired six new employees. They are Jon Seefeldt, product validation and verification engineer; Brock Anderson, software design engineer; Suresh Thiruthani, senior software design engineer; Jeremy Zeltinger, senior software design engineer, high speed computing; and Shire Mohamed and Jennifer Krause, production specialists.
Seefeldt has a bachelors degree in computer engineering from North Dakota State University. Thiru-thani received a bachelors degree in electronics and communication engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
Anderson has a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and Zeltinger received bachelors degree in electrical engineering from NDSU.
TMI Hospitality makes two new hires
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Darin Blaskowski as a telecom support technician and John Eliason as telecom service and install technician.
Blaskowski graduated from Bismarck State College with an associate degree in computer information systems He was previously employed by the Computer Guys, and he also served as a SharePoint engineer for Microsoft, both in Fargo.
Eliason, a graduate of Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa, with a bachelors degree in communications, previously worked for CI Sport in Fargo. He also does freelance video work for the Fargodome and for a number of North Dakota State University sporting events.
Bell State Bank & Trust promotes 2 employees
Bell State Bank & Trust has promoted Julie Peterson Klein to executive vice president and chief culture officer at the banks branch at 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo, and Eric Braun to retail branch manager at the 2501 S. University Drive, Fargo, location.
In her new position, Peterson Klein is responsible for retaining the banks culture of Happy Employees and Happy Customers. She will also continue to oversee and manage the banks human resources, training and Pay It Forward program. Originally from Milnor, N.D., Klein earned a bachelors degree in business from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has 20 years of experience in the banking field. She started her career at Alerus Financial and has been with Bell State Bank for 14 years.
Braun helps customers with consumer lending transactions and deposit accounts, pursuing new business relationships and supervision of staff. A native of Dickinson, N.D., Braun earned a bachelors degree in business management from Ashford University, Clinton, Iowa, and has he been with Bell State Bank for eight years, previously serving as a personal banker at the 3100 13th Ave. S. location.
Alli Svobodny hired at Prairie Naturopathic
Prairie Naturopathic Doctors, 1904 30th Ave. S., Moorhead, has hired Alli Svobodny.
A native of Moorhead, Svobodny graduated from Concordia College and earned a naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University, Seattle. She is also an expert in holistic psychology.
Susan Flynn joins AAA North Dakota in Fargo
Susan Flynn has joined AAA North Dakota as a member representative in the clubs branch office at 4950 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Flynn has more than 19 years of experience in the travel industry and is a certified specialist in Hawaii and Tahiti travel.
Absolute Marketing hires traffic coordinator
Absolute Marketing Group, Moorhead, has hired Sara Bakken as traffic coordinator. She has bachelors degrees in marketing and retail merchandising from North Dakota State University.
Bakken will set up and monitor all marketing projects, edit written materials, hire and supervise interns, assist marketing advisers and manage team events.
She has worked in retail store operations and associate management and also interned with GoRadio Broadcasting.
Accounting firm hires Proulx, Eidenschink
Rachel Proulx and Amanda Eidenschink have joined Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co.
Proulx will work in the Moorhead office as a staff accountant, focusing primarily on individual and business taxation. She graduated with a bachelors degree in accounting and finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Eidenschink is a staff accountant, and she will work in the Fargo office, focusing primarily on audits. She graduated from MSUM with a bachelors degree in accounting.
Otter Tail Corp. hires Anderson, DelZoppo
Otter Tail Corp. has hired Melissa Anderson as an internal auditor II and Denelle DelZoppo as a human resources generalist and executive assistant to the vice president of human resources.
Both will be based in the corporate headquarters in Fargo.
Anderson is a graduate of Bemidji (Minn.) State University with a bachelors degree in accounting. She is attending Walden University to obtain a masters degree in accounting.
DelZoppo graduated from St. Cloud (Minn.) State University with a masters degree in business administration and a bachelors degree in management and marketing.
Three new employees at Ulteig in Fargo
Ulteig, Fargo, has hired Cathy Green as a human resources manager, Kristen Grove as
a proposal coordinator and Gabe Maliscke as a senior engineer.
Green graduated with a bachelors in business administration from Concordia College. She was previously employed as a change management lead at Microsoft in Fargo.
Grove has a bachelors degree in public relations and advertising with a minor in print journalism and pre-law emphasis from Concordia College. She was previously employed as a content publisher at Cayuse Technologies.
Maliscke graduated with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University. He was previously a senior project engineering at Civilized Engineering, Fargo.
Video Arts Studios hires Shea as audio engineer
John Shea has joined Video Arts Studios, Fargo, as an audio engineer. He was pre-viously employed as a freelance audio engineer in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
He will record audio on location and in studio, and will produce original music recordings with regional musicians. Shea has produced CDs for Johnson Family Band, The Escape Artists and Haley Rydell, among others.
Kilbourne Group hires Johnson, Lambert
Kilbourne Group has added Mark Johnson as a project manager and Jenn Lambert as a staff accountant to its downtown revitalization team.
Johnson, a native of Wahpeton, N.D., graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in facilities management. While in college, he interned at Great Plains Software (now Microsoft). He also worked at Schultz & Associates and CB Richard Ellis. Most recently, he was the construction project coordinator at Family Healthcare Center in Fargo and oversaw the community clinics move from its previous facilities while coordinating the renovation of its new location in the historic Pence Automobile Co. building.
Lambert graduated from the University of Minnesotas Carlson School of Business. The former Woodbury, Minn., resident started at Kilbourne Group as an accounting and finance intern in May.
Erickson, Hoffarth hired at Appareo Systems
Appareo Systems, Fargo, has hired Karl Erickson as a senior electronics design engineer and Chris Hoffarth as a process engineer.
Erickson is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering and earned a masters degree in electrical engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder. His experience includes more than 10 years of hardware design and radio frequency engineering.
Hoffarth earned a bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering from North Dakota State University and an associate degree as an electronics technician from the North Dakota State College of Science. He has more than 15 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
New hires, promotions at RDO Equipment Co.
RDO Equipment Co. has hired Jessy Chap as an accounts receivable representative and Melanie Hiltunen as a recruiter. Both will work in the companys field support office in Fargo.
Several employees have also been promoted. They are Chris Cooper, Keith Kreps, Ryan Offutt and Jean Zimmerman, executive vice president; Steve Connelly, vice president of Midwest agriculture; and Kelly Gress, vice president of RDO Integrated Controls.
Chap most recently worked as a client relations representative for Nationwide Asset Services. She earned a bachelors degree in elementary education from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Hiltunen previously worked at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead as an equity admissions adviser/recruiter. She has a bachelors degree in communication studies from St. Cloud (Minn.) State University and a masters degree in college counseling and student development.
Cooper joined RDO in 2004 as general manager of the Irving, Fort Worth and Waco stores in Texas. In 2007, he was promoted to vice president and in 2010 was named vice president of Southern Construction.
Kreps joined RDO in 1998 as the Midwest agricultural division marketing manager. He was general manager of the Breckenridge, Minn., location, and in 2003 was promoted to vice president of Midwest and Northwest agriculture regions. In 2010, he assumed leadership of the Southwest Agriculture region with his most recent role of vice president of agriculture.
Offutt joined the organization in 2003 as director of human resources and communications, and eventually assumed additional responsibilities related to the companys expansion in Russia, and in 2006 was named vice president of international business. He is a graduate of Reed College.
Zimmerman joined the company in 2005 as vice president of organizational development. She has more than 30 years of experience in people development, sales, sales management and organizational development. She is a graduate of Concordia College.
Connelly has worked for RDO for nearly 10 years, most recently as general manager of seven stores in the Red River Valley. He graduated from Concordia College and earned a masters degree from South Dakota State University.
Gress has worked at RDO for 10 years and most recently served as director of sales operations and RDO Integrated Controls. He has served in various capacities throughout RDO Equipment Co., including director of financial planning and analysis, regional controller, general manager and internal auditor. Gress received his degree from Minot (N.D.) State University.
Eide Bailly adds tech business advisers
Eide Bailly, Fargo, has hired Darwin Braunagel and Susie McDonald as technology business advisers.
Braunagel has more than 30 years of professional experience, including 12 years in the technology industry. His previous experience includes account management, marketing, business consulting, implementation and business application selection.
McDonald has provided custom technology training and quality customer service for more than 20 years. She also has experience in the technology industry that includes strategic business planning, marketing and consulting. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelors degree in mass communication and public relations.
Deano Handt hired by Great Plains Food Bank
Deano Handt has been hired by the Great Plains Food Bank in Fargo as director of product resources for North Dakota and Clay County.
Handt was previously the national vice president of sales for Doctors Own. He also works in radio as a sports announcer.
F-M Ambulance hires EMTs, paramedic
Alanna Velo and Tanner Bombenger have been hired as nationally registered emergency medical technicians and Lana Jackson was hired as a nationally registered paramedic at F-M Ambulance, Fargo.
Velo and Bombenger are current students in the F-M Ambulance Service/North Dakota State college of Science paramedic program and Jackson is a 2009 graduate of the program.
Thomasson promoted VP of social enterprise
Jessica Thomasson, director of Lutheran Social Services Housing, Fargo, has been promoted to the new position of vice president of social enterprise at Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota.
She joined Lutheran Social Services in 2008 as director of the agencys new housing program. Lutheran Social Services Housing has since developed affordable nonprofit housing projects to meet critical needs in Ray, Watford City, Parshall, Stanley, Lakota, Northwood and Tioga in North Dakota with additional projects under development. The first Lutheran Social Services Legacy Living affordable senior apartments are under construction in Jamestown and Williston in North Dakota.
Thomasson has a masters degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a masters degree in public policy and administration from the LaFollette Center of Public Affairs. She served as the city of Fargos senior planner in the Department of Community Development from 1998 to 2006 and as senior deputy director of Fannie Maes North Dakota Community Business Center in 2006-07.
Powers named interim CEO at Bremer Bank
Kevin Powers, region 1 group president of Bremer Bank, has been named interim chief executive officer of Bremer Bank. He replaces Brian Hagen, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Powers previously served as president of the Fargo bank for 11 years and in his current position oversees the North Dakota and Twin Cities markets for Bremer.
