Open auditions Jan. 27 for Medora MusicalMOORHEAD – Auditions for the 2013 Medora Musical will be here from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Hvidsten Hall of Music Howard Choral Room at Concordia College.
The musical is an outdoor, Western musical variety show held each year in Burning Hills Amphitheatre in the North Dakota Badlands. Twelve singer/
dancers are cast each season as Burning Hills Singers.
Curt Wollan, Medora Musical director, said judges are looking for performers who can sing, dance and act.
Those wishing to audition should bring an 8-by-10 photograph and a typed performance resume that includes contact information.
Performers must prepare two country songs, one up-tempo and one ballad. All music must be memorized, and those auditioning should bring sheet music in the correct key that will be easy for the accompanist to follow. They may also bring a karaoke CD.
