Dragons lose fight for NSIC first place

MANKATO, Minn. – No. 11-ranked Minnesota State-Mankato defeated Minnesota State Moorhead 87-64 in a battle of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference first-place teams.

The loss ended MSU Moorhead’s eight-game winning streak.

Jarvis Williams scored 21 points for the Mavericks. Assem Marei followed with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Tyler Vaughan led the Dragons with 21 points.

Anthony Tucker netted 12 points to surpass 1,000 career points with the Dragons.
