FirstLink has received a $1,130 grant from the Milton and Evelyn Larson Fund of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation.
The funds will be used to support FirstLinks volunteer and community resource programs.
Bear Hugs Foundation donates to dog rescue
4 Luv of Dog Rescue, Fargo, has been awarded a $2,000 grant by the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation.
The money will be used to help cover the groups veterinary expenses.
Build-A-Bear Workshop donates one dollar from the sale of each Bearemys Kennel Pals stuffed animal to its foundation, which supports domestic pet programs including animal shelters, pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations and therapeutic and humane pet education programs in the United States and Canada.
Sign-A-Rama offers program for nonprofits
Sign-A-Ramas Signs of Support grant program is helping Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo area nonprofit organizations to get noticed by assisting, replacing or creating effective, affordable signing for their causes.
The requested signage can be used for upcoming events and can include any of the nonprofit organizations interior, exterior, temporary or permanent signage needs.
Sign-A-Rama will accept applications for the Signs of Support program through January. Applications are available at www.sarvalley.com.
AAA donates funds for in-car camera systems
AAA North Dakota has donated $1,075 to the North Dakota Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association for the purchase of DVR in-car cameras, monitors and display tables. The systems will be used as part of drivers education training classes in schools in Hillsboro, Ashley, Rolla, Center and Hettinger.
The in-car camera will record teen driving experiences, and the videos will be used in the classroom for activities such as simulated driving situations, situational awareness, discussion and role-playing.
