Fargo drug trafficker gets life sentenceFARGO – A Fargo man has been sentenced in federal court to life in prison for drug trafficking and aiding in a robbery, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.
U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Erickson sentenced Fred Miles Thompson, 55, on Tuesday.
Thompson pleaded guilty on Oct. 4 to distributing more than 50 grams of a mixture containing methamphetamine here in 2011, the release said.
He also admitted to requesting that three other men use a firearm in the robbery of a Stop-N-Go in south Fargo on Oct. 26, 2011.
Those three men all pleaded guilty in Cass County District Court and were sentenced to jail time and probation.
