Wi-Fi coming to Clay County courthouseMOORHEAD – Free wireless Internet will soon be coming to courthouses across Minnesota, including Clay County District Court here.
According to a news release from the Minnesota Judicial Branch, the Wi-Fi will be installed over the next six months, with the goal to have full access in all judicial branch facilities by the end of June 2013.
The service will not require a password, the release said, but users will have to accept the terms and conditions of service before gaining access.
Officials at Clay County District Court, where a policy set by judges bans cell phones, said Wi-Fi will be installed here, but they don’t believe the cell phone ban will change.
Sandra Nelson, court operations supervisor, said she believes Wi-Fi is being installed for the convenience of attorneys and other officials using laptops.
