Women and Their Music accepts applicantsFARGO – A Celebration of Women and Their Music is accepting applications from high school senior females in all artistic disciplines to be honored at this year’s event.
Applications are available at www.debjenkins.com and will be accepted through Friday.
The awards will be presented at the 16th Annual Celebration of Women and Their Music at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Fargo Theatre, 314 N. Broadway. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Tickets for the event cost $15 for general admission and $50 for VIP passes. They can be purchased at Tickets300, 300 Broadway.
A Celebration of Women and Their Music was founded in 1998 by Deb Jenkins, a renowned blues singer in Fargo.
Over the years, the show has featured regional women performing a variety of musical genres from popular to classical.
The event is not-for-profit. The money raised goes toward continuing the event and to an endowment fund established with the F-M Area Foundation.
The endowment helps fund an annual scholarship awarded to one or more local high school senior female artists to go toward continuing her education.
