Madam Butterfly, 2108 S. University Drive, Fargo, Fargo, has hired Eva Waslaski as a spa specialist.
Waslaski specializes in pedicures, manicures, facials, massage and waxing. She has 16 years of experience and most recently was employed at Rheault and Friends Salon and Spa in Fargo, which closed in April.
Noridian promotes Erickson to interim post
Kevin Erickson has been promoted to interim senior vice president of Medicaid and state operations at Noridian Administrative Services, Fargo. He also serves as vice president of program integrity at Noridian.
Erickson earned a bachelors degree in computer science from North Dakota State University. He joined Noridian Mutual Insurance Co. as a programmer analyst in management information services. He was promoted to technical support analyst and then to technical support team leader before becoming director of technology in information services technical support.
He was promoted to information technology director at Noridian and later transitioned to NMIC business architect. In August, he was promoted to vice president of program integrity.
TMI Hospitality hires Melland, Uhlir in Fargo
Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired John Melland as director of hotel accounting and Tommy Uhlir as online marketing analyst.
Melland received a bachelors degree in accountancy from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. For the past seven years, he has worked as senior finance manager for the office division at Microsoft. He also previously was controller for Adams Development Co., Fargo.
Uhlir graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelors degree in marketing.
Ockhardt joins Jack Chivers Realty team
Dirk Ockhardt has joined the real estate agent team at Jack Chivers Realty, Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Jack Chivers Realty will open an office in Fargo in early 2013. Ockhardt will serve customers in the Detroit Lakes and Fargo-Moorhead areas.
Born and raised in Germany, Ockhardt earned degrees in banking, economic law and contract law in Germany. He moved to the United States in 2009.
Ironclad Marketing hires project manager, writer
Ironclad Marketing, Fargo, has hired Lisa Altice as a project manager and writer.
Altice graduated from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va., with a masters degree in business. Her recent experience includes a marketing internship with Stihl, Virginia Beach, Va., and more than six years of managing contracts and coordinating events in the music industry. She also has a bachelors degree from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Fla.
New faculty join music department at MSUM
Five new faculty members have joined the Minnesota State University Moorhead music department.
Monte Gris, director of bands and saxophone studies, wind symphony, symphonic band and the athletic bands conductor; Jeff Izzo, assistant professor in music industry and entertainment studies, and also teaches a course in film music; Michael Krajewski, assistant professor of guitar, jazz guitar ensemble and jazz combo, also also teaches private guitar and jazz and directs the jazz guitar ensemble and jazz combo; Daniel Mahraun, director of choral activities, concert choir and the festival mens choir conductor; and Kathy Rolsten, assistant professor in music education, womens choir conductor, and also teaches the general music education and secondary choral methods classes to pre-service music teachers.
Gris received a doctor of musical arts in conducting, pedagogy and literature at James Madison University, a master of music in pedagogy and performance in wind conducting from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor of music education at Montana State University. He was previously the associate director of bands and director of the Bengal Marching Band at Idaho State University.
Izzo is composing an original score for the theater departments 2013 spring production of Brechts Mother Courage. He received a masters degree in music at the University of Edinburgh, a juris doctor at Seattle University School and Law and a bachelors degree in music from Berklee College of Music. Izzo has more than 19 years of experience as an entertainment and media attorney and most recently taught at the University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music.
Krajewski is completing a doctorate in classical guitar performance at the University of Minnesota. He has a masters degree in jazz studies from Georgia State University and a bachelors degree in music from Berklee College of Music. He was previously a professional musician and educator for 20 years and taught at McNally Smith College of Music.
Mahraun has a doctorate in the literature and performance of choral music from the University of Colorado, a masters degree in performance and conducting from the University of Northern Iowa and a bachelors degree in vocal music from Wartburg College. He previously directed choral activities at Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kan.
Rolsten received a doctorate from the University of South Florida, a masters degree in education from Wright State University and masters and bachelors degrees in music at Bowling Green State University. She has worked for many years as a K-6 music teacher and high school choir director.
Reinhiller joins Dawson Insurance in Fargo
Maria Reinhiller has joined Dawson Insurance, Fargo, as a receptionist and administrative assistant.
Reinhiller, a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a business management degree, has more than 10 years of customer service experience.
Schneider joins AE2S as public affairs strategist
Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services has hired Rocky Schneider as a public affairs strategist in the firms Fargo office.
Before joining AE2S, Schneider worked at the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead as director of public affairs and has extensive experience working with elected officials on policy issues in the Red River Valley.
Originally from Fargo, Schneider has a masters degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and a bachelors degree in communications from the University of Minnesota.
Schultz joins law firm as associate attorney
Anna Schultz has joined the Conmy Feste Ltd. law firm in Fargo as an associate attorney.
Schultz, a native of Fargo, graduated from North Dakota State University and received a juris doctor degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law, Grand Forks.
While in law school, she served as a member and associate editor of the North Dakota Law Review and worked as a law clerk for Conmy Feste.
Bohlman retires, Mahar promoted at Berts
J.D. Bohlman, sales manager of the handicap accessible vehicle and home modification products at Berts Mobility Solutions, a division of Berts Truck Equipment, Moorhead, has retired.
During Bohlmans six years with Berts Mobility Solutions, the company has been a Presidents Club dealer for Braun Entervans and a top 10 dealer for the Bruno product group.
Steve Mahar, a 15-year employee at Berts with experience in the handicap accessible product lines, will assume the role of lead sales and parts coordinator for all products related to providing mobility access in vehicles and home modifications.
Nyborg named executive director of soccer club
Noel Nyborg has been named executive director of the Tri-City Storm Soccer Club.
Nyborg has been involved with youth soccer for many years as a coach, referee and board member. He was previously with the Moorhead Soccer Club and was instrumental in the merger of the Moorhead club and the Red River Soccer Club in 2012.
Tri-City Storm Soccer Club has nearly 3,000 members from Moorhead, Fargo, West Fargo and surrounding communities, and offers soccer opportunities for boys and girls ages 8-17. It also operates indoor and adult leagues for all ages and skill levels.
Brady Equestrian Center promotes Jenna Solheim
The Brady Equestrian Center near Sabin, Minn., has promoted Jenna Solheim to general operations manager. She was previously the onsite farrier.
Nikki Slack Bailey, breeding manager and show coach, has been named an adjunct instructor of equine veterinary technology at Globe University, Moorhead.
