UPDATED: Police investigate armed robbery at south Fargo homeFARGO – Police are investigating a home invasion-style armed robbery reported Wednesday night in south Fargo.
Officers responded at 10:04 p.m. to a call that three men with guns had entered a home in the 1400 block of Seventh Avenue South.
Police said five young adults who were home at the time reported that one of the suspects knocked on the door and asked for someone who didn’t live there. The suspect then pushed his way into the residence and was followed by two more suspects.
Two of the three suspects displayed guns and the other had a blunt object, Sgt. Jason Nelson said.
The suspects demanded money and roughed up some of the people inside the residence, Sgt. Jim Kringlie said. One of the residents went to the hospital to get checked out, but no serious injuries were reported, he said.
Specific descriptions of the suspects weren’t available. All three had their faces covered, Nelson said.
The victims told police they didn’t know the suspects, he said.
Deputy Chief Pat Claus said there may have been a sixth victim from an altercation with a potential fourth suspect outside the home, but police were still investigating.
