Fund set up for families of 6 Missouri men killed in I-94 crashMOORHEAD – A Moorhead man has set up a benefit fund for the families of six Missouri men killed in a Dec. 26 crash on Interstate 94 in Jamestown.
The six men from the Springfield, Mo., area were part of a construction company and were heading to a worksite when their westbound pickup went off icy I-94, crossed the median and was struck by an eastbound semi, the Springfield News-Leader reported.
Randy Kremer, a nurse anesthetist at Essentia Health in Fargo, said he set up the fund to help cover funeral expenses for the families. The bodies of some of the men were being sent back to their home villages in Mexico, he said.
“It was just something that I read and I just felt really terrible for these people,” Kremer said.
Donations may be made to the Jamestown Accident Victims Funeral Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank location.
