Weapon, drugs seized in good Samaritan callFERGUS FALLS, Minn. – What started as a good Samaritan call here ended with an arrest and the seizure of a loaded handgun and drugs.
Sean James Youpee, 25, of Poplar, Mont., got his car stuck in the snow here, so police came to assist him and offer him a ride.
But protocol requires officers to search anyone getting into a squad car, and it was then that police found a loaded 9mm handgun, meth and drug paraphernalia.
Youpee was arrested, and no officer was injured in the arrest. Youpee is scheduled to first appear in Otter Tail County District Court on weapons and drug charges on Wednesday.
