ND man receives probation for using bogus bills

MINOT, N.D. — A North Dakota man accused of using counterfeit money to gamble in bars has been ordered to serve probation and pay back $950.

Joshua Jones pleaded guilty in August to a pair of counterfeiting charges. Authorities say he gambled with bogus bills at two Minot bars in June.

Police allegedly identified Jones at the second bar after employees at the first bar gave a description that included a swastika tattoo on his neck.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Jones to three years of supervised release.
