Money stolen from Bismarck cash registers while store open

BISMARCK — An undetermined amount of money was stolen from two cash registers in the Bismarck Kmart while the store was open.

Police say someone took a screwdriver from the store Wednesday evening and forced open two cash registers in the store's layaway area.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/RUwjjj ) that the two cash registers were destroyed.

Authorities are studying video to determine if they can find anyone acting suspiciously at the time the crimes were committed. Police say no suspects have been identified.
