Style Profile: Green likes to emphasize singular style
The financial counselor and mother of two keeps her look fresh by pairing fun prints with simple solids.
I spotted Green downtown on her lunch break, and I liked her fun leggings, bold jewelry and spunky personality.
Describe your style. I like comfortable. Leggings, leggings, leggings. I’m a mom on the go, and I need clothes I can bend down in and be comfortable.
I like to layer, and I like mixing prints with solids. Incorporating texture is good, too.
What are you wearing? My leggings are from Ruche (online retailer), my shirt and blazer are from T.J.Maxx, tank is from Target and my boots are from R & G. My jewelry is Forever 21.
What’s your style philosophy? Always dress for yourself. Wear what you like, make yourself happy.
Balance is important, too. If I show a lot of leg, I cover up on top. Anything can be cute as long as there’s balance.
Who are your favorite designers or brands? Max Azria, and Mike and Chris. Mike and Chris do killer leather pieces.
Where do you shop? T.J.Maxx. The key is to take your time when you go, and go alone. You have to look through every rack to find those gems.
Has your style changed since you became a mom? Not really. I’ve always had on-the-go style. I get ready in five minutes. If someone compliments me, I think “OK, I’ll do this again.” I don’t really think of myself as having style.
Is there something you’d like to buy if you had an unlimited budget? A big, lush leather bag. You’ve got to be able to fit your life into it.
What are your favorite makeup products? Buxom mascara, CoverGirl eyeliner, LORAC blush and bronzer, Two Faced lip plumper and Burt’s Bees chapstick. When I find something I love, I stick with it.
