Snowmobile crash injures Fridley man

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – A snowmobile crashed on Highway 210 near here around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Michael Olsen, of Fridley, was traveling westbound on the roadway shoulder when he struck a mailbox, according to a news release. The mailbox and snowmobile were damaged, and Olsen sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet while driving.

He was transported by Ringdahl Ambulance to the Lake Region Hospital in fergus Falls, according to the news release.

The case remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, the release said.
