Letter: Thank you from ‘Bowls for Babies’I thank the more than 1,200 people who came out to support the March of Dimes “Bowls for Babies” event at the Ramada Plaza and Suites. Local artists, businesses, children, preschools, social groups, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Concordia College, Davies, and West Fargo art students and individuals put their artistic talents to work by painting and crafting more than 1,000 bowls for this great event.
While Bowls for Babies is always a collaborative effort from the entire community, special thanks go to Essentia Health, Gate City Bank, Clay Your Way, Breadsmith, Fantasies in Frosting and the wonderful restaurants Basies, Ramada Plaza and Suites Banquets, Granite City Food & Brewery, Grazies Italian Grill, The Hotel Donaldson, Maxwell’s, The Old Broadway, Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill, Mezzaluna, A Taste of Italy, Texas Roadhouse, and Nichole’s Fine Pastries for sponsoring, volunteering, and providing delicious breads, sweet treats and soups.
As a result of all this incredible support, more than $50,000 was raised for the March of Dimes North Dakota Chapter. This money will be put to good use, furthering the mission of the March of Dimes to improve the health of all babies by preventing premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
So on behalf of all the babies in North Dakota – thank you again for your support of the March of Dimes and this event.
Dr. McCulley is 2012 Bowls for Babies chairwoman.
