Snowmobile crash injures Fridley man

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – A snowmobile crashed on Hwy. 210 near here around 8 a.m. today.

Michael Olsen of Fridley was traveling westbound on the roadway shoulder when he struck a mailbox, according to a news release. The mailbox and snowmobile were damaged, and Olsen sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet while driving.

He was transported by Ringdahl Ambulance to the Lake Region Hospital here, according to the news release.

The case remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, the release said.
