ND woman pleads guilty to federal assault chargeBISMARCK — A North Dakota woman accused of trying to run over a man after an argument has pleaded guilty in federal court.
Maureen Red Stone, of Cannonball, faces a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
The incident happened on Sept. 29, 2012. Authorities say the 30-year-old Red Stone got into a van and struck the victim. The man's injuries were not life-threatening.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 4.
