Southern Utah overcomes tough shooting night to defeat UND

GRAND FORKS – Southern Utah shot only 37.5 percent from the floor and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line. Yet the Thunderbirds picked up a 60-54 victory against North Dakota in women’s basketball Thursday.

Hailey Mandelko scored a team-high 11 points for Southern Utah.

Nicole Smart and Emily Evers each scored 13 points to lead UND.
