Area firefighters break record for kettle incomeFARGO – Fargo-Moorhead firefighters, along with fire-tech students from Minnesota State University Moorhead, raised $34,499 Friday while bell-ringing at 30 of the Fargo Salvation Army’s kettle sites, a new single-day record for kettle income.
Realtors from the area raised $25,831 Dec. 7, and local law enforcement raised $15,902 Dec. 3.
The Fargo Salvation Army has raised about 52 percent of its $825,000 Christmas campaign goal. Volunteers still are needed through Christmas Eve to fill 360 vacant bell-ringing shifts at 34 kettle locations in Fargo-Moorhead.
