North’s Larson named ND volleyball player of yearFARGO – Fargo North’s Kira Larson has been named the Gatorade North Dakota volleyball player of the year.
Larson, a 6-foot-3 senior who has committed to play volleyball at the University of Nebraska, is a
two-time all-state selection and an American Volleyball Coaches Association first-team All-American.
Larson recorded 558 kills with a kill percentage of .457, 394 digs, 137 blocks and 108 service aces to lead North to a 28-5 record last fall.
“Kira Larson is most definitely one of the best players we have seen in our state in recent years,” said Bismarck High volleyball coach Jessica Nichols. “Her offense is her strong point. She is very tall and jumps extremely well and can get around almost any block.”
