Snowplow knocks over light pole along U.S. 10AUDUBON, Minn. – A Becker County snowplow clipped a light pole along U.S. Highway 10 here on Saturday, leading to a second accident, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The light pole fell, causing an overhead power line to hang over the highway. A Minnesota Department of Transportation snowplow then struck the suspended power line, causing the pole to fall onto westbound Highway 10.
One lane of the highway was closed for a short time, the patrol reported.
The county snowplow, driven by 53-year-old Ardean Anderson of Detroit Lakes, wasn’t damaged.
The state snowplow had damage to a mirror and was driven by 61-year-old Keith Kaldor of Audubon.
Neither man was hurt.
The initial accident happened about 3:55 p.m.
