Man catches massive wolf in Otter Tail County

An Otter Tail County man will have the "wolf story of a lifetime" to tell the grandkids.

Bruce Hanstad is a longtime trapper, and last week he got one for his personal record books. He trapped a 95-pound timberwolf northeast of Perham near the Becker and Otter Tail county lines.

The wolf is five and a half feet long. In recent weeks, several wolves have been trapped or hunted in the Henning and Deer Creek swamps. Hanstad's dark grey wolf is the largest he has seen or trapped.

The wolf hide will be tanned and the trophy will hang on Hanstad's wall.
