Letter: News is a lethal incongruence

Did anybody notice The Forum about a week or 10 days ago – a front-page story seemingly celebrating how abortion numbers in Fargo are staying strong, and then the lead editorial for the same day speaks well of the removal of smoking areas outside of drinking and dining places. The claim is made in the editorial that this will save lives.

Huh?

This juxtaposition can be called a lethal incongruence. Don’t people in leadership see this? It is evidence of our popular culture in this land going ever-deeper into a treacherous dysfunction.

How can we talk about having hope for the future?
