Force swap defensemen with Cedar Rapids

FARGO – The Fargo Force have parted ways with defenseman Justin Wade, trading him Friday for Cedar Rapids defenseman Gavin Bayreuther.

Wade – a University of Notre Dame commit – played in 17 games for the Force this season, scoring one point and dishing out one assist, while serving 34 minutes in the penalty box and logging an even plus-minus. Wade spent his entire United States Hockey League career with Force, appearing in 109 games, scoring three goals and seven assists and logging a career plus-minus of 16.

In return, the Force receive a St. Lawrence University commit who is in his rookie season in the USHL in Bayreuther. He has four goals and eight assists along with 15 penalty minutes and a plus-minus of minus-8.
