Truck light blamed for loading dock fire in FargoFARGO – Heat from a clearance light on the back of a semitrailer was blamed for starting a fire in the loading dock area of Caterpillar at 3500 Main Ave. on Wednesday night.
Firefighters responded at 10:36 p.m. and quickly doused the flames. Damage was confined to the seal around the loading dock door and was estimated at $3,500, Assistant Chief Larry Schuh stated in a news release.
An investigation found that heat from the clearance light, which was pressed up against the padded seal, ignited the vinyl covering.
