ND Oil Patch town of Killdeer considers residential subdivisionKILLDEER, N.D. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says a proposed residential subdivision in Killdeer could impact nearby Spring Creek.
The Dickinson Press reports that the corps is taking public comment on the project until Dec. 17.
The corps says the project has the potential to impact an estimated 1,815 feet of stream bed and change the flow and circulation of the water patterns through expansion of the channel width.
Killdeer Mayor Dan Dolechek says additional housing is "very much needed" in the town due to oil activity.
