Letter: Shootings were not self-defense

The recent article about the man in rural Little Falls, Minn., who murdered two teens aptly described his actions as “chilling.” Consumed by anger over a previous robbery, he killed the cousins who had broken into his house.

Heavily armed, he could have held them off and called police. Instead, he repeatedly shot them, bragged about “a final good clean finishing shot” of the wounded girl, and waited a day to notify police.

He is a menace, should be prosecuted and never allowed to own a weapon. It’s one thing to defend your home and family, quite another to execute unarmed interlopers.
