Two arrested near Harwood on suspicion of car prowlingFARGO – A 19-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested Sunday morning by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office after authorities received a report of car prowlers in the Harwood area.
The Sheriff’s Office identified the adult as Octavio Benavidez, whose last known address was East Grand Forks, Minn.
The juvenile is from Crookston, Minn.
According to the Sheriff’s Office:
The pair stole a vehicle from Crookston and crashed it at the intersection of Cass 81 and County Road 22 in Harwood.
They attempted to break into other vehicles in the area before they were apprehended one half mile south of Harwood hiding in some brush.
The Sheriff’s Office said potential charges include: possession of a stolen vehicle, burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession and criminal mischief.
