24-year-old Fargo man accused of kicking girlfriend in faceFARGO – A Fargo man was arrested here this morning after police say an officer saw him strike a woman and kick her in the face.
Fargo police responded to the call around 5:40 a.m. in the 100 block of 7th Ave. N. When the officer arrived, he witnessed Roberto Rodriguez, 24, allegedly striking a woman, apparently his girlfriend, with a closed fist as she lay on her back, Sgt. Kevin Pallas said.
Pallas said before the officer could intervene, the woman sat up and was kicked multiple times, including in the face.
Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
The woman had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local emergency room where she was treated and released, Pallas said.
The incident is still under investigation.
