Prosecutor: Minnesota State Mankato case was to protect kidsMINNEAPOLIS — The prosecutor in a child porn case against Minnesota State football coach Todd Hoffner says his office was simply enforcing the law.
Hoffner was charged with two felonies for what prosecutors said were indecent videos of his own children. A Blue Earth district judge threw out the case on Friday, saying there was no evidence of porn.
Assistant Blue Earth County Attorney Mike Hanson says he doesn't agree with the dismissal, but accepts it. Hanson said his office doesn't go looking for such cases.
Hanson said neither he nor the county prosecutor would have any additional comment.
