West Acres in Fargo is giving away $5,000 to two local nonprofits this holiday season.
The Live, Love, Give, Volunteer contest invites community members to volunteer over the holiday season, snap a photo of their efforts and enter for the chance to win a donation for their favorite nonprofit.
The donations are made through the West Acres Cares program.
Entry forms and contest guidelines can be found on the West Acres Facebook page. The contest runs through Dec. 20.
Prizes will also include $100 West Acres mall cards awarded weekly to randomly selected entries.
IdeaOne Telecom rebranded as Enventis
Enventis, a subsidiary of HickoryTech, has acquired IdeaOne Telecom in Fargo and the company has been rebranded as Enventis.
There will be a ribbon cutting and open house to mark the new name at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Fargo office at 3312 42nd St. S.
Enventis provides integrated voice, data and network communication solutions to businesses and service providers across the Midwest.
Financial literacy topic of upcoming sessions
The North Dakota State University College of Business Legacy Program and Choice Financial have partnered to sponsor Money Matters, a financial literacy session for high school students to learn how to manage money, monitor spending, how to obtain and protect credit, and the importance of starting to save money at an early age.
More than 20 high school students attended the inaugural session on Nov. 17 at NDSUs Richard Barry Hall in Fargo. More sessions will be offered throughout the coming year to reach out to additional students to learn the benefits of managing money early in life.
