2 pronghorns illegally killed in western NDMANDAN, N.D. — Authorities are investigating the illegal killing of at least two pronghorns in western North Dakota's Morton County.
The state Game and Fish Department says the animals that are commonly called antelope were shot and left along a county road northwest of Mandan. The agency says evidence at the scene indicates more animals might also have been killed.
District Game Warden Jeff Violett says the shooting happened earlier this month during the opening weekend of the deer gun season. The Report All Poachers program is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
