The staff of the Golden Living Nursing Home in Moorhead has donated $1,000 to the Emergency Food Bank.
The money will be used to provide food for families in need over the holidays.
Fargo credit union to host food, toy drive
First Community Credit Union, 1801 45th St. S., Fargo, is hosting a food and toy drive for the holidays through Dec. 10.
Nonperishable food items and new or slightly used, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the FCCU branch by Dec. 10 and the credit union will donate the items to the Salvation Army.
HERO awarded $25,000 Dakota Medical grant
The Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization has received a $25,000 grant from Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo.
The funds will be used to hire a program coordinator to build partnerships and implement a new HERO satellite in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Wells Fargo donates $2,000 for scholarships
Wells Fargo Bank has donated $2,000 to Minnesota State Community and Technical College Foundation, Moorhead.
The funds will provide two $1,000 scholarships for students.
LRAC awards grant for new local history exhibit
The Lake Region Arts Council has awarded the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County a $3,000 grant for its next local history exhibit, Prairie Daughters: The Art and Lives of Annie Stein and Orabel Thortvedt.
The exhibit tells the story of early female artists in Clay County as illustrated through the two womens lives. The grant will help fund the design and installation of the year-long exhibit that opens on Jan. 22.
