NDSU head men's golf coach Iverson resignsFARGO – North Dakota State head men’s golf coach Billy Iverson resigned Tuesday after nine years with the team.
NDSU athletic director Gene Taylor said an interim coach will be hired for the rest of the season and that a search for a new coach will begin in April.
Iverson is the assistant golf professional at Oxbow Country Club, where he’s been for 16 years. He also worked as a golf professional in California at Burlingame Country Club, Saticoy Country Club and Eldorado Country Club.
NDSU is off until late February when the spring portion of the men’s golf schedule begins at the Quintero Invitational in Peoria, Ariz. The Bison finished first or second in all five fall tournaments this fall and dropped its team scoring average by 20 shots since 2009-10.
