NDSU police respond to pedestrian theft

FARGO – North Dakota State University police received a report of two men stealing cash from a woman early Sunday morning near campus.

According to an NDSU press release, an older, white four-door passenger car occupied by two black males approached a female walking in an area south of 12th Avenue North near the NDSU campus.

About 3:30 a.m., the male passenger, described as a tall, thin black male wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, exited the vehicle, yelling at the woman to give him her purse and pulling it from her shoulder.

The release said he took some cash, left the purse behind, re-entered the vehicle and was last seen westbound on 12th Avenue North.

The incident remains under investigation.
