Early morning drug bust leads to one arrest in Fargo

FARGO – Officers seized a large amount of cash and drugs and arrested one man after executing a search warrant here early Saturday morning.

Police Lt. Joel Vettel said a home in the 100 block of 24th Street South was searched around 4 a.m. on suspicion of drug activity related to an ongoing investigation.

At the home, police found about $9,000 in cash and seized a large amount of drugs, including methamphetamines, ecstasy, mushrooms and several different types of prescription narcotics, Vettel said.

Todd Michael Zeller, 47, was booked into the Cass County Jail on seven charges related to possession of drugs, including possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, possession of hallucinogens and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zeller was the only person arrested at the scene.

Vettel said it was too early in the investigation to say if more arrests will follow.

“Obviously, these types of narcotics investigations are often complicated. A search warrant is oftentimes the start of an investigation into other types of conspiracy,” he said.
