Sacred texts in Judaism, Christianity and Islam have sometimes been used to justify domestic abuse, but each tradition also contains sacred texts that can contribute to the prevention of abuse and serve as sources of healing for those who have suffered abuse. Presenters include:
Dr. David B. Myers, Judaism (Temple Beth El); the Rev. Laura Stancher, Christianity (Trinity Lutheran); and Esra Ata, Islam (Islamic Center of Fargo-Moorhead). The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Interfaith Projects and Rape and Abuse Center.
