The Great Plains Food Bank, Fargo, has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Womens Fund, a component of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation.
The food bank will use the funds to purchase and distribute specific food for children in the BackPack Program who need gluten-free, lactose-free or peanut-free food items.
Western raises funds for Packer Backers
Western State Bank, West Fargo, has donated $1,560 to the West Fargo Packer Backer Association.
During the varsity boys football season, the bank donated $10 for each West Fargo Packer point scored at regular season home games. The Packer Backers will use the donation for various school activities throughout the year.
Gate City donates to Boys, Girls Ranch
Gate City Bank has donated $75,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.
The gift will allow DBGT to augment its services at the south Fargo campus where children receive treatment for emotional and behavioral issues.
Anonymous donor gives to MSCTC scholarship
Minnesota State Community and Technical College Foundation, Moorhead, has received a $10,000 matching donation from an anonymous donor.
The funds are to match donations to the Dan Sperling Memorial Scholarship Fund. Sperling was a counselor at MSCTC and student advocate for those who were less fortunate.
