The American Advertising Federation of North Dakotas monthly education meeting is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
The featured speaker at the meeting will be Joe Pulizzi, a leading author, speaker and strategist for content marketing, who will present The State of Content Marketing.

RDO partners with Australian dealership
RDO Equipment Co., with headquarters in Fargo, has partnered with Vanderfield Pty Ltd., a growing Australian John Deere dealer group.
RDO Equipment joins the Vandersee family, founders and current owners of Vanderfield as shareholders in Vanderfield Pty Ltd.
Vanderfield has been a John Deere dealership since 1970 and was instrumental in bringing cotton pickers into Australia.
Since 1996, the companys headquarters in Toowoomba has been one of the largest individual John Deere dealerships in Australia and sells the agricultural machinery across its eight locations.
Diabetes Association hosting video contest
The North Dakota Area American Diabetes Association is hosting a video contest to Celebrate a Day in the Life of Diabetes. The winner will receive an iPad 2 and two runners-up will each receive a Flip-Cam.

Health, Tech and Trades Expo slated Dec. 6
More than 2,500 area high school students will gather from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Fargodome for the annual Health, Tech and Trades Career Expo.
The expo was created to introduce students to several occupational opportunities in the region and gives students a chance at hands-on experiences and exposure to different careers.
All interested high school students of any age and their parents may attend. Admission is free.

Acme Tools building new store in Williston
Acme Tools will build its fifth North Dakota store in Williston. The new store, scheduled to open in late summer 2013, will be the 10th Acme Tools location in the upper Midwest.
The new store will feature 20,000 square feet of office, showroom and warehouse space located near the intersection of U.S. Highways 2 and 85 in Williston.
Precision Tune Auto moves to new location
Precision Tune Auto Care has moved to the southwest corner of Interstate 94 and South University Drive in Fargo. The business was previously at 4352 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
New hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Casino implements environmental programs
The Shooting Star Casino, Hotel and Event Center in Mahnomen, Minn., has started implementing green environmental sustainability programs.
Working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Clean World, the casino started a recycling program for cardboard, drink cartons, glass and metal. It provides metal eating utensils instead of disposable and has replaced Styrofoam containers with compostable or biodegradable containers.
In its housekeeping recycling program, all discarded soap, shampoo/conditioner and lotion products are collected, sorted, processed for recycling and delivered to charitable groups.
More than 20,000 energy-saving CFL bulbs have been installed inside and outside, faucets and toilets have been replaced with water-saving, low-flow fixtures and plant-based and biodegradable cleaning products are being used.
The casino will soon install variable frequency motors to reduce electricity use, start a new paper-recycling program and food scrap recovery policy for composting, and install a new biomass heating system that uses wood chips.
Gate City Bank to open two new offices in 2013
Gate City Bank will open two new banking offices in the metro area in 2013.
An office inside the Village West Hornbachers on 13th Avenue and 41st Street South in Fargo will open in the spring, and a stand-alone building to be built at the intersection of Veterans Boulevard and 31st Avenue South in West Fargo is scheduled to open in the fall.
The bank will hire 14 additional people to staff the new offices.
BCBSND, Essentia sign Cost of Care contract
Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota has signed a Total Cost of Care contract with Essentia Health, Fargo.
The new contract is part of an effort to reimburse medical facilities with an emphasis on quality of care rather than volume of services delivered.
Essentia joins Altru in Grand Forks and Sanford in Fargo, Sioux Falls and Bismarck as the states largest integrated hospital systems that have signed the new reimbursement arrangement, with the goal of improving the quality of care delivered and reducing health care costs.
