Swanson promoted at Bell Investments

Paula Swanson has been promoted to an investments representative at Bell Investments, a division of Bell State Bank and Trust, 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo.

Swanson, originally from Fergus Falls, Minn., earned a bachelors degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been in the banking investments field for more than 10 years. Swanson started her career at Wells Fargo Investments, Minneapolis, and joined Bell State Bank in June.

Mark Schiller joins Fargo accounting firm

Mark Schiller has joined Fiebiger, Swanson, West and Co., Fargo, as a manager specializing in preparing tax returns.

He graduated from Concordia College with a bachelors degree in accounting and also graduated from the College for Financial Planning.

Schiller previously was a partner in a certified public accounting and investment advisory firm in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Otter Tail Corp. hires VP of human resources

Otter Tail Corp. has hired Paul Knutson as vice president of human re-sources in the companys corporate office in Fargo.

Knutson has an extensive human resources background and previously worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he was director of strategic staffing and compensation.

He was also senior vice president for human resources and organizational development at Pamida and worked at Oriental Trading Co., where he was vice president of human resources, corporate communications and facilities.

Knutson has a bachelors degree in psychology from Concordia College and a masters degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.

DSG hires Greg Servais as segment manager

Dakota Supply Group, Fargo, has hired Greg Servais as manager of the HVAC/R segment.

Servais previously was product manager for the HVAC/R segment at W.A. Roosevelt, which DSG acquired in February. He had worked for W.A. Roosevelt since 1991 at the city desk and in outside sales before becoming product manager in 2007.

McCormick, Conlon elected to AP&S board

The board of directors of Asphalt Paving and Supply, Inc. has elected Mike McCormick president and Kim Conlon executive vice president.

AP&S is located in Prescott Valley, Ariz., and is a subsidiary of McCormick Inc., based in Fargo.

McCormick began working for the organization in 1986. He moved to Arizona in 2007 and worked at AP&S as an equipment operator in quality control, as a foreman, aggregate operations manager and area manager. He held offices of assistant vice president and vice president before being elected president.

Conlon started working for the organization in 1981. He moved to Arizona in 2010 to become area manager of AP&S. He was elected president in 2011. He will continue to oversee Arizona operations.

Haugen and Moeckel adds two attorneys

Stacy Tjon Bossart and Erin Muldoon Haug have joined the Haugen and Moeckel law firm in Fargo.

Tjon Bossart has more than 15 years of experience practicing law and concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury, medical negligence, general litigation, transaction law, probate and estate law.

Muldoon Haug has eight years of experience practicing law and concentrates her practice in general litigation, collection law and family law.

Willits named RRV Fair operations manager

The Red River Valley Fair Association has hired West Fargo native Cal Willits as operations manager.

Willits has extensive experience in maintenance and construction. He will serve as a member of the management team and will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of the fairgrounds including renovations and new construction.

He previously worked at North Dakota State University Residence Life and was owner of K&W Construction.

Barge joins sales team at 702 Communications

702 Communications, Moorhead, has added Dave Barge to its sales team as a sales associate.

Barge has a bachelors degree in mass communications with a major in advertising from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He previously worked in sales for 17 years at Cable One, most recently as sales manager.

Cornerstone Bank names lead teller

Jason Wollum has been promoted to lead teller at Cornerstone Bank.

He has been a teller with Cornerstone Bank since June and works at the 45th Street South location in Fargo.

Winje promoted to personal banking officer

Katie Winje has been promoted to personal banking officer at Bell State Bank and Trust, 2401 S. University Drive, Fargo.

Winje, originally from Moorhead, earned an associate degree in finance from Minnesota State Community and Technical College and has worked in the banking field for seven years.

Muse named catering manager at Ramada

Erica Muse has been named catering manager at the Ramada Plaza and Suites and Conference Center, Fargo.

Muse is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. For the past 11 years, she lived in Las Vegas and worked in the food and beverage departments at Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace and The Mirage.

Fredricks joins Ironclad Marketing in Fargo

Ironclad Marketing, Fargo, has hired Martin Fredricks as vice president of strategic marketing.

Fredricks, an award-winning writer, creative director and planner, has more than 20 years of experience in the communications field. He previously owned and operated an advertising, marketing and business communication consulting firm, and was a strategic planner and copywriter at another integrated marketing communications firm.

His experience also includes work as a senior writer and editor at a university, a public information specialist for a member of Congress and an editor of a weekly newspaper.

Gaddie, Thompson join Catholic Charities ND

Catholic Charities North Dakota, Fargo, has hired Carly Gaddie as director of the pregnancy, parenting and adoption services program and Danielle Thompson as an adoption worker with the Adults Adopting Special Kids program.

Gaddie earned a bachelors degree in social work and psychology from Concordia College and completed a masters degree in social work through the University of Michigan. She has worked with adoptions for the last 10 years, most recently in Washington, D.C.

Thompson graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelors degree in social work. She has worked in the mental and behavioral health field for the past five years.

Four new employees hired at Flint Group

The Flint Group, Fargo, has hired Jason Ellingson as a senior accountant, Maren Hamilton as a social media coordinator, Ben Hamilton as a web developer/designer and Tony Staiger in the information technology department.

Ellingson has more than five years of public accounting experience. He earned a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

Maren Hamilton attended Concordia College where she studied art, communication studies, public relations and business.

Ben Hamilton has more than nine years of experience in web-oriented programming and web design. He attended Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Staiger attended Brown College, Mendota Heights, Minn., and Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, where he studied network technology. He has more than five years of experience in the IT field.

Dr. Erpelding joins Sanford Orthopedics

Dr. Jason Erpelding has joined Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Fargo.

Erpelding, a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Science, Grand Forks, specializes in hand surgery.

He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, and his fellowship in hand surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

General Equipment and Supplies promotes five

General Equipment and Supplies, Fargo, has promoted Jerry Kern to vice president of aggregate sales, Don Kern to aggregate equipment manager, Matt Johnson to customer service and support representative, Wayne Slinger to sales representative for northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota, and Matt Kern to assistant sales manager.

Jerry Kern has been the aggregate equipment manager with General Equipment for more than 20 years.

Don Kern was previously the assistant aggregate sales manager and customer service and support manager. He has been with the company since 1999.

Johnson was previously a service technician and has been with the company since 2007.

Slinger has been a customer service and support representative for the past 10 years.

Matt Kern was previously a customer service and support representative in the Fargo area. He has been with General Equipment and Supplies for three years.

Program director hired at Boys and Girls Club

Amanda Volmer has been hired as program director at the Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley/Youth Commission.

Volmer received a bachelors degree in general studies from Minot (N.D.) State University, a bachelors degree in human development and family science from North Dakota State University and is pursuing a masters degree in family and consumer science at NDSU.

TMI Hospitality hires graphic designer

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Karlee Gronos as a graphic designer.

Gronos is a recent graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she earned a bachelors degree in graphic communications. She also earned an associate degree in art from Lake Region State College, Devils Lake, N.D.

Financial specialists join Red River Financial

Financial professionals Kyler Harder, Justin Wren, Derek Drege and Ty Newman have joined Red River Financial Group, Fargo.

Harder is a graduate of Valley City (N.D.) State University and has been in the financial services industry for two years.

Wren is originally from Aberdeen, S.D., and is a graduate of North Dakota State University. He has been in the financial services industry since 2010.

Drege is a graduate of NDSU and is originally from Casselton, N.D. He has worked in the financial services industry since 2011.

Newman will work in Minneapolis and in Fargo. He has been in the financial services industry for about a year.

Fulsebakke joins Eyesite as ophthalmic assistant

Mandy Fulsekbakke has joined Eyesite Family Eyecare in West Fargo as an ophthalmic assistant.

She is a native of Rollete, N.D., and attended Bismarck State College. She recently obtained certification as an ophthalmic assistant. Fulsebakke previously worked in Minot, N.D., before transferring to Fargo.

Bosman promoted to residential specialist II

Amanda Bosman has been promoted to residential specialist II at Centre Inc., Fargo.

Bosman is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelors degree in psychology. She has been a residential specialist I at Centre for the past year.
