GF Red River (22-9) vs. Bismarck (23-13)

Where: Minot State Dome

What you need to know: Red River is the defending state champion of North Dakota Class A. … The Roughriders have won eight state championships … GFRR head coach Carolyn Olson has coached in a state-record 18 state tournaments. … North Dakota State volleyball commit Hadley Steffen has 426 kills, 46 ace serves and 360 digs this season for Red River … Red River senior outside hitter Cassidy Bush posted 283 kills and 45 ace serves this fall. … The Demons have won two state championships (1985, 2010). … Bismarck defeated Red River 2-1 at a tournament earlier this season.

Coach’s comments: “We were a much different team at that time,” Red River head coach Carolyn Olson said of the loss to the Demons this season. “We didn’t have a lot of experience at setter and in the back row. Over the course of the season, we’ve worked that out.”

Jamestown (26-8) vs. West Fargo (20-14)

When: 2 p.m. today

Bismarck Century (33-4) vs. Fargo Davies (25-11)

When: 6 p.m. today

Coach’s comments: “Century reminds me a lot of Fargo North,” Fargo Davies head coach Heather Stuberg said. “If we can block early in the match like we did against North in the state qualifier and just have the same level of energy that we have showed the last couple weeks, we will be fine.”

Fargo Shanley (22-9) vs. Dickinson (26-10)
