Hallock elevator suffers heavy fire damage

HALLOCK, Minn. – A Minnesota fire marshal will be here today to investigate the cause of a fire that heavily damaged the Hallock Co-op Elevator.

Dozens of volunteers from seven fire departments battled the blaze for more than four hours in freezing temperatures after the fire was reported at about 10:46 a.m. Monday.

The fire was brought under control by about 3 p.m., according to Kittson County Sheriff Kenny Hultgren.
