Letter: Hunting a great ND tradition

For many in North Dakota, hunting is a family tradition, one with generations of lasting memories. But in addition to creating stories of time spent outdoors, hunting creates economic benefits for North Dakota. Hunting is an important part of our state economy. This industry helps employ more than 3,000 people in North Dakota, making hunting one of our top employers! Hunting revenues pay wages and taxes, and promote economic growth around the state.

The ripple effect from hunting is even greater still. Overall, hunting in the state is a $278 million industry. Restaurants, resorts, outfitters and many others rely on the business hunters bring them.

The professionals I work with in the construction industry are avid hunters, and we would like to congratulate and thank Hunting Works for North Dakota for their efforts in helping promote and expand such a great tradition in our great state.
