Muscha, Kiefert win seats in tight ND House District 24 raceOnly 55 votes separated the top three vote-getters in the race to fill two open seats in North Dakota’s District 24 House race.
In complete but unofficial results, Democrat Naomi Muscha, 58, of Enderlin, received 26.11 percent, or 3,254 votes, followed by Republican Dwight Kiefert, 55, of Valley City, with 26.09 percent, or 3,252 votes.
Democrat Sharon Buhr, 66, of Valley City, trails with 25.65 percent, or 3,197 votes, just 55 votes behind Kiefert.
Republican Myrene Peterson, 64, of Enderlin, placed third with 21.87 percent of the vote with 2,726 votes.
In the District 24 Senate race, incumbent Democrat Larry Robinson, 63, of Valley City, was re-elected with 56 percent of the vote over 44 percent for challenger Republican Keith Hovland, 62, of Valley City.
Robinson received 3,824 votes to Hovland’s 3,015.
