ND man charged in triple-fatal crash goes on trialMANDAN — A man accused of driving drunk in Mandan and causing the deaths of three of his friends in a crash a year ago is on trial for manslaughter.
Twenty-four-year-old Taylor Berhow pleaded guilty in January but withdrew the plea when a judge rejected a plea agreement that called for him to be sentenced to five years in prison.
Authorities allege that Berhow's blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit for driving when he crashed into a tree on Oct. 29, 2011. The crash killed 21-year-olds Charles Boehm and Trevor Erie and 22-year-old Eastman Nadeau. Another passenger was injured and Berhow spent a few days in a hospital.
