ND US Senate hopefuls fight to Election Day finish

BISMARCK — North Dakota's most competitive U.S. Senate race in almost three decades is a campaign fight to the finish.

Democrat Heidi Heitkamp is touring the Red River Valley Monday on a final swing through Park River, Grafton, Grand Forks and Mayville. She's scheduled to finish up Monday night in Fargo.

Republican Rick Berg spoke at a West Fargo engineering firm and a Minot civic club Monday. He's stopping at Republican campaign offices in Bismarck and Fargo to finish out the day.

North Dakotans on Tuesday will be picking a new U.S. senator and House member. They'll be deciding a governor's race, and whether they should approve five statewide ballot measures.

Secretary of State Al Jaeger says more than 65,000 North Dakotans have already voted.
